I have a house under contract for Flip (this is a northern suburb of Chicago)
My contractor found garage cracks in the wall (not too wide, but clearly visible in the eye) and a little scared me that it could not pass the municipality's attention and maybe we will have to destroy and build a new raz .. (do gut rehab)
And it could be a Deal Breaker if you need to pick up a Graz for 2 vehicles that cost 15-20K.
* It is important to note that in the framework of the renovation, we are replacing a roof for Garaz (so I assume that in any case they will come to check the area)
By the way, required PERMIT to replace the roof of the Graz?
Has anyone bumped into?
What do you recommend doing?
I do not have time to bring now pre-inspection of the municipality and the clipping drop clicks.

You have to check the tendency of the walls.
And the bias has allowed standard deviations.
Up to 0.5-0.75 inches most often do not touch.

You do not do Inspection before closing? If so, the inspector should tell you what causes the cracks in the walls. If you have not planned, you should do according to what you determined it is a displacement of elements? If it's an old house and there was such a shift, it happened years ago and the municipality has already seen it sometime. You can try whitewashing it (like a good Israeli) so as not to do the full renovation but note that this is the US and you may be exposed to a lawsuit from the next buyer who will find out you have hidden something from him. It may cost you dearly.
