Hi guys, Question of corrections. In one of my properties there was a blockage and the basement was flooded. A visit to a plumber reveals that it was caused by roots that blocked the pipes (do not understand exactly how this happens). (The nearest tree is a tree in the row of trees on the road)
Has anyone ever had such a thing?
What is the cost of repair? The management company requires $ 500.
The Anstaltor claims it will come again, does anyone know of a solution that will prevent such cases in the future?

Definitely a problem that is repeated again if you only open the blockage in the pipe. You can dig some of the roots. Then place a new line of piping.
The costs vary depending on the location, mechanical equipment required, and along the pipeline to be laid. We paid around 2000 dollars for handling a similar problem.
It happened, too, a bad case, they had to take down the tree, which required coordination with the municipality. It is not safe to have a preventive treatment that only responds quickly once there is a slowdown or flooding in the sewer.
In Israel there are solutions that actually require the replacement of all sewage lines,
