Quite a surprising story but a thought provoking.
The successor to Hong Kong's largest real estate company, Alex Xi, has no home of his own. And if that is not enough, he will not inherit his father's share of real estate company Santlin, which is valued at $ 400 million, according to Bloomberg's Billionaire Index, since the share was donated to charity over a decade ago.
But Alex Shai is not worried, although he will not inherit his father's fortune. This is in contrast to the children of some of the Hong Kong tycoons whose family businesses were transferred to them. Hong Kong's rich man Li Ksing transferred the reins last year to his son Victor, while billionaire Lee Shao Ki announced last month that he was considering leaving Henderson Land Development and transferring it to his two sons.

Why does the successor to Hong Kong's largest real estate mogul not have his own home?

  1. The three children of the owners of Asus, a billionaire in his own right and with the largest amount of land in London, who only told a few weeks ago that the lands would be handed over to his children, were killed this week in a Sri Lankan attack. Just shows how much fate / God / will make his own plans
