Hi friends, I'm planning a trip to Dallas and would like to take the opportunity to open a personal bank account ...
Hi friends,
I plan to travel to Dallas and would like to take the opportunity to open a personal bank account in my name.
I understand that one of the main requirements is proof of address and so I will take care
To an official letter that would come in my name to a house we had recently purchased.
Based on what I've read, there are different account types, I'd be happy to recommend the type of account you'd like to open.
I understood that there are banks that demand SSN and some do not.
Someone might recommend a specific bank / branch in DFW where he knows for sure that they do not make a hard life for a stranger who comes to open an account.
Any tips to prevent valuable time burning in the field are welcome?

- I recently started working with an Israeli company that opens an American account for investors with much lower fees than a regular account and without the need for a local address or SSN
- If you have an official letter from the authorities (electricity, water, property tax, etc.) that you received to your Texas registered property, there is no problem opening an account.
The only bank that agreed to open an account without an official address was Bank of TEXAS (after we visited dozens of branches of the big banks and they all refused).
The fees are not cheap at first but you can always bargain with them after your account shows some activity.
Talk to the branch manager I've given you, he'll close the corner.
Good luck . - If you have an ITIN and a credit address you can open at the big banks. At the time I started at Wells Fargo. Many friends here have Bank of America, try Citi Bank too. I know someone who opened there after having other big banks and said that they have a significant advantage in internet transfers abroad, which is limited in the other banks as well as account terms and fees.
In the big banks, it is quite generic to pay no more than $ 2000 in commissions and a number of direct transactions.
To summarize the official address and everything is good - In Cleveland, in all the banks, I had no problem opening a personal or business account (personal without ITIN). I did not have proof of address at any of the banks, they do demand it, but it is negotiable, PNC gave me a $ 200 gift to open their business accounts.
Do you have a passport and a driver's license? Are you ready.
All posts - Wells Fargo opens an account without the need for a local address (twenty minutes at the branch with an Israeli passport). Building credit is another story
- Las Colinas Park, 110 E John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX 75062, USA
There's a bofa
I started there without a problem
