After years of activity and close to 100 Flips, I filed a complaint against a contractor for the first time
To all who deal with flips.
After years of activity and close to 100 flips, I filed a complaint against a contractor (GC) for the first time for poor work.
The contractor was given an opportunity (actually several opportunities) to come and fix things but chose not to. I also told him that if he did not correct I would have no choice but to file a complaint. Wisdom: It is important to pay attention to the threats when submitting a contractor complaint.
So what was submitted:
1. Complaint to County - Contractors and Licenses Management Department.
2. Complaint to the Office of the Attorney General - Department of Public Access
3. Apply to the contractor's bond to open a claim
In the meantime only number 1 came back to me and they opened a formal complaint / examination.
Expectations for something to happen are low but:
1. It's important to take this step when needed
2. Because I do quite a bit of activity in the area - some of the contractors / suppliers talk to each other (I know this for sure) and it is important for me to convey a message to people in the field.
3. I am very skeptical that we will see anything but maybe. .
4. I realized that if in a contractor's activity there are 3 complaints (justified?) Or can lose the license (although I realized that many just open a new name).
The photographers have no connection to the complaint or to me

- As a main contractor, this is not really significant; 1. First of all this is private work so there is no bond at all; It is reasonable to assume that your contractor has never been Bond-Bond only for very large jobs such as government works in tenders, etc.
2. Prosecutor? I did not understand the connection to the general prosecutor - it's not a criminal matter - it's a civil dispute so you're likely to be referred to an attorney;
3. It is only for the canti that it can really influence and the fact that they came back from there
; The ideal solution is if you hold payments (payment per execution) - this is to bring in a replacement contractor to repair and complete and reduce the costs from the cost of the balance left there to the original contractor; Or sue him but it's a tedious story with legal costs - Itay KalevLior Gita
- Try filing a complaint at the better business bureau as well.
- It is interesting to see if there will be any developments
- You will also try a complaint to the Real Estate Ethics Committee, in some areas this includes contractors. You can also file a complaint on the BBB website
