Specific BOFA are not willing to work with foreign investment portfolios (and pity, otherwise their credit card was much more lucrative 🙂)
As they said, there are a number of brokers who are willing to work with foreigners who can easily open an account with them online (such as IB or a cleaner, and many others).
If you do not want a stock market, there are also savings accounts from different banks that also give 2% or more interest. Specifically in BOFA it is probably less lucrative (in my opinion their interest rate is relatively low), but there are some banks that will let you open an online account without too many problems (assuming you have a credit history etc)
Yes it is a very simple procedure. Talk to me first.
Open an account in Interactive brokers, anyone can and invest where you want, all the world markets are open to you, and even without weird fees like "Securities deposit fees .."
Can not be without ssn. A foreign citizen can not invest directly. These are whether a broker or local investor of your money.
The capital market through the bank, as in Israel. I do not think they will resist more money.
A very slim chance if you do not have valid immigration documents (green card, citizenship and the like)
