  1. Because of the R22 that is no longer manufactured, any replacement / repair is more expensive. For a new system you will probably pay about $ 4,000-5,000 (if it is a single storey system, not a dual system). I think it's better to do something new already.

  2. Reasonable price for R410 cooling system only and make sure it is the model. Assuming you have proper furnace heating there is no need for more than that. If the heating does not work something you should already put heat pump r410 and you have both heating and cooling. Price for such a system depends on the size of the space and according to BTU. A reasonable price for a heat pump for a home around 1000-1500 sqft should be around 5k with a lifespan of about 15 years. Successfully!

  3. As far as I know:
    1) A new HVAC system costs between $ 5000-7000.
    2) The R22 FREON gas is an old technology, and it is better to switch to the R410.
    3) The question of how long the repair will last and how much the existing system.
    In my opinion, with a difference of $ 1500-2000, it is better to install a new system - of course, depending on what the income from the property is and what the cash flow situation is.
