I would love to help you! I opened an LLC in the state of Tennessee, I finally purchased a property in Georgia. On the accountant's recommendation, I opened an LLC in Georgia with the same name. Now I'm trying to close the LLC in Tennessee and face bureaucratic walls. Turns out I need to get them a document confirming that I have no debts for them and from a conversation I had with the clerk in Tennessee they require numbers (account number or EIN) that I both do not have.
What to do? The accounting firm does not deal with closures. It will take time for numbers (EIN and ITIN) to be issued. Looking for a co-accountant with a local closing? Try to do it yourself? Have any of you faced such a situation?
