The best way to predict the future is to create it - Abraham Lincoln
# Entrepreneur of the Week Adv. Guy Kleinbaum # Post 1
Hello friends, very nice, I am attorney Guy Klinbaum, 40 years old, married to Natalia and father to the charming and playful Melanie?, lives in Tel Aviv.
I am very excited that I was invited to write here and about the responsibility that has fallen on my part and I believe that in the coming week I can pass on to you some of the insights I have gained over the last 12 years in the business and legal world around real estate entrepreneurship in general.
In the coming week, I will share with you much more soup tips and recommendations from the legal world, rather I am going to introduce you to my world, which combines law and entrepreneurship together. Because throughout my career I have made a decision, to create the future I am interested in by getting to know the area on my flesh and being a real estate entrepreneur in parallel with my work as an attorney.
Well, then my connection with the real estate world, starts somewhere at the age of 18, when I enlisted in the Air Force, I was then a young soldier who studied and worked in architecture in the construction department of the Air Force.
Pretty soon I became an officer and became a professional project manager and took part in very large and significant projects. Such that only the IDF and the Air Force know how to lift. I was a partner in the construction of airports, we built advanced and classified systems, in short I gained managerial and engineering command experience that at this age can only be dreamed of in promoting projects, which I could not experience anywhere else.
I was sure I was the IDF and the Air Force is a love triangle for life, and I was already about to buy a ring.
But, then came the crisis of 2008 and something changed. I got hit like many from the capital market, a hit that made me realize I needed to change direction in the type of investments I had made up until then.
After years of being ALL IN in the capital market, taking many professional courses and even being a daily trader on the stock exchange while in military service, I decided it was time to move to a new world, closer to my doing and safer, the real estate world.
So as I had done until then to accumulate all the knowledge I had, I went back to the study bench and started taking courses in real estate abroad and Israel and even went on to study law with an emphasis on the world of real estate. While on the move and after making my first investment in a US real estate deal, to my surprise, I discovered at the time that there are almost no Israeli attorneys accompanying Israeli investors and entrepreneurs overseas when it comes to overseas real estate, left alone in foreign countries, with completely different laws and culture.
This is what made me leave the army after 10 years in the IDF and a moment before receiving the rank of major, which was so significant and important for me, and so from Igra Rama to Bira Amikata The food and I started to specialize in a lawyer who performs on what the lawyers in the firm need and demand, from clerical tasks to legal research, bureaucracy and more…
This is how I found myself in a new world in 2012, when I started working as a full-time intern in one of the leading real estate offices in the country. The road there was not easy, I had to go through a difficult internship and almost sleep in the office to be able to stand out and leave a foothold, because I wanted to be the best and fulfill my real goal - accompanying entrepreneurs and real estate investors abroad.
While I was an intern, one of the most exciting moments of my career came when I established almost a kind of overseas real estate department in the office where I worked. The department was very successful and I felt I was starting to realize myself as I wanted to, and help entrepreneurs in real estate investing in the US and many other countries. At the same time, I completed a master's degree in Israel at Tel Aviv University and in the United States at the University of Berkeley, in commercial law, and there in the United States I even met my beloved wife.
In 2016 on the advice of my beloved wife who gave me a lot of courage and support, I decided to go out for financial independence and set up my own law firm. From day one I decided I was going to be the lawyers who let the deals happen and not the ones who blow them up, a lawyer for entrepreneurs who works around the world of entrepreneurship and investment.
To understand the minds of the entrepreneurs I represented and to learn what my clients really need from their legal counsel I decided to invest in myself in any country where my clients have invested. To feel together with them the challenges, problems and dangers. It is also what allowed me to study these markets, the local law and create an extensive network of lawyers and other professionals and local contractors and entrepreneurs and more in these countries that helped me a lot and allowed me to build real infrastructure and added value for my clients.
In the meantime, I managed to close another circle, and the firm I set up merged into the firm where I did the internship together with my partners Adv. Daniel Bachar.
Along the way I took part in transactions on almost every continent in the world, I managed to avoid and save clients from scams at the last minute, I experienced achievements as well as less successful moments for me and my clients, like anyone, but I will tell you about all these and more in the following posts, or as Ilana Dayan says: stay with us , we'll be back in a minute?
And it is impossible for an attorney to not complete the post without "the above information is for informational purposes only and should not be considered legal advice and / or a recommendation"
