# Entrepreneur of the Week Karin Howard # Post1
Hello everyone, my name is Karin Howard, the 36-year-old Austin Texas realtor. Many thanks to Avi and Lior for the opportunity to meet all of you here
And thanks readers, hope you enjoy.
Let's start from the basics, I have great respect for those involved in the craft and for all the members of the forum, I read with you and learn a lot, from the victories, the failures, the hard work. Thank you and blessed deeds.
Let's start from the end in December 2020 I issued my brokerage license in Texas, today we are in June 2022, together with my team I sold and mostly bought over 125 homes with a turnover approaching $ 75 million. I provide comprehensive services to homebuyers and investors. We'll talk about everything later but now we'll jump to the beginning.
I was born and raised in Kiryat Motzkin, to Ziva and Charlie Edri, I could not have asked for better parents, I have two brothers and two sisters, and I am the mother of a wonderful 5 year old girl and happily divorced from my good friend Alex.
My dad is a contractor and my mother a sales and marketing woman, and although my parents asked me to choose other jobs, apparently apple trees did not come out pears.
I studied law, interned with Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein at the Ministry of Justice. After that, I worked as a lawyer and personal assistant for Dr. Shlomo Cohen, in the largest intellectual property office in Israel. In 2017 I left with my ex-husband Alex, for Silicon Valley.
Alex worked as an engineer and I worked at Leumi Palo Alto Bank, and I was the entrepreneur's banker, every tech entrepreneur who came to the valley went through Leumi Palo Alto - this fact is important as you will soon understand. A year later and surprisingly one of the customers pulled me out of the bank to work for him. These were non-Israeli clients and an American American fintech engaged in financing and needed someone to check the International Banking Department.
Asked then I set up, 47 countries, dozens of currencies, accounts, tremendous volume, a year later I had already managed all the activities in the United States, including the operation of the operation, onboarding for customers and collection. It was a tremendous global job, traveling around the world, a tech salary, a lot of money and professional recognition but something did not sit well with me. "It's not it," I had an inner voice shouting, "It's not it."
I had no exposure to real estate then, we had an apartment that we bought and sold in the country but beyond that nothing. Until one weekend came in Austin who changed the picture.
We came to visit friends, I was expecting to see a yellow and arid city and I got a green city with a web of Tel Aviv, what is going on in this city? It's crazy! Everyone is celebrating, bars, restaurants, lakes, green and houses oooh houses. For the price of a hut in Silicon Valley I could then buy 5 houses in Austin.
When we returned from the visit I informed him: "Leaving" We are moving to Austin Texas, we are what? He replied. We're leaving Silicon Valley - Austin here we come ”
So we moved, and a month after that the corona started, and then my life changed, but about that already in the next post!

In the meantime very pleasant, I am Karin, tell me about yourselves in the comments.
