Meet Adi Arad:
My name is Adi Arad, married to Olga, the one and only (I swear to you that there is no one else like her), father to Healy, Roman and Purity - the three best "bye glory" works I have created and will create in this life. Four girls in my life - four lights, illuminating my way so I always know where to walk!
I live and live in a moshav, somewhere in the Sharon area, a bachelor's degree in economics and management, I graduated in practical engineering, civil pilot, registered contractor and project manager in the field of construction and renovations, real estate developer in the US !!!
It all started somewhere in 1982, the year I made my mother and father parents for the second and third time respectively. According to what I am told, I was a technical baby, a technical child and indeed the findings, as of today, prove that the stories are true, since I am also a technical person today.
My career in construction began in 1990, when I was 8, I used to build wooden houses in my backyard (my brother, on the other hand, was probably an agent of the Israel Lands Administration, because he would always destroy what I built). Despite the comical aspect of things, at age 8 I knew that was what I loved to do, build! I knew that the day would come when these wooden houses I had found in all sorts of places, with the jute cloth that wrapped them and the roof I did not remember what they were made of, were just the beginning.
My father was a contractor himself, I learned a lot from him, even when I was a teenager, a high school student, I often found myself helping him and his staff in a wide variety of jobs.
The world of real estate entrepreneurship has always fascinated me and building a house has fascinated me like holding the stick in a plane and pulling it towards the chest on the way to another breathtaking sight. It is interesting that I have always been interested in flying over buildings and it is better to be as high and less above all else.
So I built my house, and then I built a limited number of houses and building additions for different people (most of my work in the field here is finishing work, interior and exterior). I remember building my brother an extra 2 rooms for his existing home, alone, without workers, from the foundations to the windbox and roof. When I finished, I looked at my brother and said, "Thank you for fulfilling my dream to build something of this magnitude, alone!"
I live the construction industry in my veins, today no longer entirely as the executor but as a manager who navigates several projects simultaneously.
And suddenly, I "discovered" America (hello Columbus!) The truth I discovered long before. The construction method attracted me and I learned a lot about it. I always wondered, why do you need all the concrete and dirt and plaster and filth to build a house, when there is another, simpler, cleaner way.
At one point and after much deliberation and examining the options before me, I decided it was time to take action. It's time to buy a house overseas, renovate it, rent it out and sell it. The idea was to go through the most basic incarnations that real estate investors go through and feel them on my flesh.
I started investing as I like, with a little money, even if in the area not coveted, to know the way, to know how it works and most importantly, not to be afraid (of the fear). And today I feel like it's been light years since I started investing in the US. About this and more in the following chapters!
