As of 2014, Georgia has a population of about 10 million, in Atlanta itself more than 600,000 residents, including about 70,000 Jews, while in the metropolis live more than 6 million residents. The city's central location has made it an important trade center in the United States, and international companies have established their headquarters there, among the companies - Coca-Cola, CNN, the UPS shipping company and more. Atlanta is considered a leading tobacco manufacturer, and has large factories in the fields of textiles, transportation equipment, chemical products, communications equipment, paper products, electrical accessories and more. The country's GDP is growing rapidly and the developing tourism industry contributes greatly to the local economy and attracts investors and job seekers. The ethnicity distribution in Georgia is about 65.1% non-Hispanic whites, 28.7% African Americans, 2.1% Asians, 0.3% Indians (local children), 2.4% other races, and about 1.4% members of racial mix. In recent years the capital city of Atlanta has grown at an accelerated pace and is gaining positive immigration data. Atlanta was ranked in 2014 by Forbes in fifth place on the list of cities offering the highest quality of life in the United States. Therefore, it is no wonder that in recent years the city has become a sought after destination for investors, and many are looking for homes for sale in Atlanta.
