On the scale of a startup’s development, what could be more fascinating than a “hockey stick”? Stand up and dance! 😎

A solution that’s shaking up Silicon Valley: the artificial intelligence platform Cursor achieved $100 million in annual revenue in just 21 months. For comparison, it took OpenAI six years to reach this milestone.

And the most interesting thing here is not just the speed. But the fact that this achievement was achieved by a team of… only 20 people, without marketing or advertising. I call this “touching a nerve.” They simply created a product that spreads among developers like electricity because of its incredible relevance.

We are witnessing the birth of a new technological business model:

    – In the past: huge investments + crowdfunding + rapid growth process = years of waiting for profits
    – Today: small team + powerful artificial intelligence tools = rapid growth and profitability

Such stories are becoming a trend. ElevenLabs in the voice field made a similar move to Cursor with a team of 50 people. Lovable, a platform for creating web applications, reached $10 million in two months with the help of 15 employees.

In the past, a startup was required to spend $1 million for every $1 million in revenue. Today, this ratio is reduced by 5-10 times. In some areas, artificial intelligence is not only helping to develop products, but is fundamentally changing the economics of their production.

And what’s next? There are predictions that soon we will see unicorn companies with only one (!) employee. If you look at such cases, I am sure that this will indeed happen.

The size of the business team is no longer a reason for pride for a leader. The important indicator of success is the ratio of revenue to the number of employees. #Innovation
