** Florida, a hint of luxury in electrical services!
The Florida Electric Company will set up thousands of electric vehicle charging stations, but residents may pay more in the monthly bill
FPL, which serves about half of Florida's residents, has announced plans to establish a thousand locations in more than 100 locations across the state, including major tourist, leisure and business sites. In practice, the company hinted that they would seek the approval of legislators to shut down electricity services, even though the project cost was not disclosed. **
Florida residents who drive electric cars received great news today when the power utility Florida Power & Light, or FPL, announced its intention to install about a thousand stations for charging electric vehicles in more than a hundred different locations across the state.
On the one hand, charging stations will not serve all drivers of electric vehicles today, but are expected to encourage more residents to abandon gasoline cars and move to more environmentally friendly vehicles. On the other hand, FPL may have to shut down its services for all of its 10 million Florida customers (about half of all state residents).

In a statement released this morning, FPL leaders explained that charging stations would be installed along major highways, public parks, near shopping centers and tourist sites and near particularly large businesses.

To date, 17 sites have been selected where the stations will be installed, most of which are located in Palm Beach County, including near the Office Depot headquarters in Boca Raton, the luxury hotel "The Breakers" in Palm Beach and near the city's seaport, according to FPL spokeswoman Alice Daley.

Daley further explained that the FPL chiefs have not yet chosen where to place the positions in Braward County, and in the Miami-Dade District the location of one position has been determined for the time being: near the beach in the town of Sunny Isles Beach.
At this stage, the cost of the ambitious project is unknown, but FPL chiefs will have to get the approval of lawmakers in Tallahassee to raise the cost of electricity services to fund the installation of charging stations. "The goal of the project is to understand the impact of electric vehicles on the entire power grid," Daley explained.

Eric Silagi, President and CEO of FPL, explained that the project is part of the company's ambition to use renewable energy sources, in addition to the company's intention to install more than 30 million solar panels by 2030. Charging stations will be universal and adapted to all types of electric vehicles, including vehicles Luxury such as Tesla. It will also be possible to charge hybrid vehicles (capable of charging).

"As electric cars become more common on our roads, the development of charging stations becomes a necessity for the success of the transportation system," said Florida Gov. Ron de Santis.
