Profile of a Texas homebuyer: Who’s buying and why

The

median age for homebuyers in Texas is 47 and their annual median

household income is $101,700, according to a new report from the

Texas Association of Realtors. About one out of every three is a

first-time buyer, and nearly twice as many in Texas opt for a new

home compared to homebuyers nationwide, according to the 2019 Texas

Homebuyers and Sellers Report. The report analyzed survey data

among Texans who bought or sold a home between July 2017 and June
