The Roller Coaster Of Entrepreneurship – How Do You Deal With All This Pressure
#Post5 – It’s Not Always Perfect (and That’s Okay) 💛
On Instagram, everything looks perfect.
The deals are amazing, the photos are flattering,
and even the failures come with a filter that makes them look like success stories for potential investors.
I remember one evening — standing in my messy kitchen, eating a microwaved quesadilla
(yes, I have very sad recipes — message me privately for details 😂)
when a new crisis from one of our U.S. deals popped up on my phone.
At that exact moment, a notification appeared:
someone had written to me saying I was “such an inspiration” and that she dreamed of being me.
I laughed… and maybe cried a little.
There’s a saying that we tend to compare our behind the scenes to everyone else’s highlight reel.
It’s hard not to — the gap can really sting sometimes.
And when you’re down, pulling yourself back up alone isn’t easy.
If you’re already on this entrepreneurial roller coaster, you know what I mean:
there are days when you’re on top of the world,
everything flows, doors open, and you feel unstoppable 🌟
But there are also days when… not so much.
Some deals go great, others flop.
Some decisions are brilliant, others you wish you could undo.
And when dreams fall apart and you disappoint yourself or others — it hurts deeply.
At my daughter’s school, there’s an entire hallway dedicated to the failures of inspiring people.
It’s a daily reminder that failure is part of the journey.
It’s hard not to fear failure — but if we let that fear freeze us, we stop moving.
And that’s the real danger.
Real estate, like life, doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
It constantly bumps into the rest of our messy, imperfect, beautiful reality.
So what do we do?
I’m no guru — but after four years in the game, I’ve picked up a few habits that help me keep going:
1️⃣ It is what it is.
Not every day is sunshine.
There can’t always be spring, growth, and expansion — contraction is part of life.
2️⃣ Just show up.
Sometimes the main thing is simply to show up. Every day.
Consistency beats motivation.
It’s harder to start exercising if you only show up once a month —
but if you go every day, it becomes automatic.
3️⃣ Take care of yourself to avoid burnout.
Everyone’s balance looks different.
For me, it’s the basics: sleep, movement, meditation, music, good food, and inspiring content —
books, talks, and podcasts.
And, most of all, uninterrupted time with my family ❤️
Hugs full of oxytocin, family dinners with my phone aside,
and lately, real weekends offline — thanks to our amazing overseas team that makes that possible.
And of course, my incredible partner Ronen — I’m endlessly grateful.
He makes the journey lighter, more doable, and so much more fun.
4️⃣ Surround yourself with real, honest people.
Both online and offline.
People who tell it like it is.
And it’s totally fine to do a social detox — to remove what doesn’t serve you.
Life’s too short. You deserve to feel good.
5️⃣ Keep improving and learning.
Study both your wins and your mistakes — like a scientist.
Manage risk, but keep experimenting.
6️⃣ Practice compassion.
Toward yourself and others.
Self-blame doesn’t help — kind eyes do.
7️⃣ Take responsibility.
When you own everything — good and bad — you realize you have far more control than you think.
I wish for you long stretches of sunshine ☀️
but also the ability to enjoy the winter —
the blankets, the hugs, the hot chocolate, and the pause.
May all your deals be good ones,
and may you remember — perfection is overrated. ❤️
