Post to Sunday:
Investors
So what is the nature and profile of your investors?
Are your investors lenders, or investors?
Do you close a deal and then look for investors, or vice versa?
Do you choose your investors? Including refusal to share them, or who comes with capability, welcome?
So we, as army retirees (I am retiring after 23 years, in positions of command of the army, etc.. and Miriam my wife, so the army was a significant part of our lives) we decided to separate our employment with army personnel and retirees.
We also found ourselves a few years ago with a house with a mortgage and that's it, and without any assets, and since then we have changed our perception from one end to the other. We own many houses with our investors and money partners, almost all of whom are career soldiers and retire.
Since we came from this world, we have dedicated our activities in order to give value to career soldiers and retire.
Almost all of our first investors were friends who I fought or commanded alongside them, and the following came from among the first.
Two weeks ago we even organized a conference for retirees in which they gave unique value to retirees, and we brought the story of retired 3 who quickly chose direction and action, and chose the path of entrepreneurship and independence.
The worldview we live in says that as far as value is concerned, so will we get.
We do not perceive our investors, only as investors, but as a community that we try to give them: a change in financial perception, and perception. Perhaps that is why many of them also decide to invest with us.
It also gives us the privilege to choose who is right with us to work, and filter if necessary. So we can enter into transactions that we already have marked investors without the need for concerns.
In conclusion: a community of investors and not just investors.
Give a fixed value to investors and not just through investments.
Create a commitment of investors to the group and give them a family feeling, or a group that is fun to be.
And there is nothing like the example of the current forum to understand what group gives value to those who are in it!

First of all, appreciate your contribution (and of course your wife who suffered from being a permanent combatant)!
I heard you on a panel at Robert Schmine's conference last week and you seem to be developing nicely too!
You opened the post with a few questions. I'm interested to know what your answer is about them….
