We want to tell about a case we came across and the amazing help of Yariv Paz in "rescuing" him from it.
A few months ago we invested in a property in the US through Doron and Yariv and in our opinion we are considering another future purchase.
In mid-April the dollar exchange rate was low and we decided to buy dollars and transfer to the account we opened at Bank of America, since we were considering buying another property sometime, so we thought to save a few thousand shekels thanks to the low dollar exchange rate.
We transferred a considerable amount of money from the country, the money was transferred through Adv. Ne'eman to our bank account in the United States.
But once the money was transferred, the bank froze our account.
Doron Avitan, Yariv's partner, a gold man who accompanies and directs us all along, calmed us down and told us about a similar case that happened to him in the past and that the bank asked for documents proving that the money is really ours and so we thought it would happen in this case.
From a conversation with the bank we were told that the matter will be handled within 10 days and we will receive notice.
We waited for the entire Pesach period ...
At the beginning of May, we called the bank again and were told that the money would not be refunded because it was a fraud and that our bank account would be closed and we would no longer be able to open an account at the same bank. From further attempts to get more answers from the bank we were referred to file a complaint with the police to find out the matter… and then we started to get stressed ..
Immediately after this conversation Doron turned to the rival and told him about the incident, Yariv was not connected to the action in any direction.
The next morning we were very surprised to hear that as soon as Yariv heard about the problem, he left all his business and went immediately to the bank to check what he could do about it.
Yariv used his personal connections at the bank, and within a short time managed to get answers and a promise that the money would be returned. After two weeks of phone calls, contacts, and interest from Yariv, the money returned to us, and not only that, our bank account became active again.
We were amazed at his caring. We did not imagine that he would be so involved in our money. It is not obvious to us that he handled the money of someone who had invested in the past
And he has no connection to or responsibility for the incident to which we found ourselves, and perhaps his involvement with the bank could in some way also harm him.
The case has taught us that beyond assets and returns, it is very important for people with whom to do business. Yariv and Doron were discovered here in a crisis as partners who care and that they will do everything for us.
And this was very important learning for us at the beginning of our path as investors.
