#Post 1 – a designated coincidence

Wonderful morning everyone, I'm Sharon Dayan the entrepreneur this week and it's a great privilege to be part of the community and share my story with you.

Married + two amazing children Noam and Liya, loving husband, supportive father, mentor in the real estate entrepreneurship program and consider myself an entrepreneur who runs long distances.

My story in real estate entrepreneurship began with a random meeting, in Medellin, Colombia, January 2020, before the start of the Corona period. At that time, I was an employee/executive at Marriott Hotels Worldwide and held the position of Sales and Marketing Director of a luxury hotel in Panama. I came to Maine to represent the hotel in several events and to meet with company owners from Colombia. For over an hour we talked and laughed in broken English, Spanish and Hebrew about Israel, about Judaism, about life in Panama, Medellin, about my little boy, conferences and not a word about real estate, not a word about real estate entrepreneurship. I left the conversation with Robert's business card, which two days later went into a drawer in my office in Panama.

4 months later, May 2020, I'm in Israel and still on the Israel-Panama line, lots of free time and thinking about what's next (the wonders of the Corona virus). I wander through Facebook and suddenly see Robert's picture, not sure it's him and my wife confirms, it's the guy we met in Colombia, same curls!

Comprehensive tests the day after the plan, two days to think and that's it I made a decision real estate entrepreneurship is the next thing for me.

The way I got into real estate exposed me to one of the important principles of the profession: to always be open to opportunities, to know how to recognize them and to be brave enough to act. Most successes started from a small opportunity that happened along the way.
