#So Do not build a floor…
This week we saw a property of a foreign investor get involved. He purchased a property that burned in part to Flip and that's the best part of the story. This is a deep renovation that includes the dismantling of the entire interior of the house to the skeleton, redesign and construction of a second floor. After already building the second-floor skeleton, installing a roof, water and sewage pipes, power lines and air ducts, they were forced to stop work until further notice because they failed the county audit. The property stands desolate and abandoned.
Where is the problem? See the picture, the height of the transition between the ceiling of the first floor and the stairs is about 60 inches (about 1.5 meters) while the standard states at least 80 inches (about 2 meters)... In short, you have to bend down when going up or down the stairs. Of course the staircase is located next to a beam that cannot be moved or changed. Instead of a flip, a flop came out, and this was due to a lack of professionalism, lack of experience or just a lack of attention (caring?) of all involved, starting with the architect who prepared the plans, continuing with the carpenters who built the skeleton, through the main contractor who did not inform the investor in real time about the faults that were discovered during the work... But the biggest negligent person in our opinion is the investor who didn't make sure that there was a representative on the field, his eyes, hands and feet, and therefore didn't see and didn't know how he was going to fall in a big way. Fixing the problem requires changing the second floor plan and rebuilding a large part of it. In other words, money is thrown away and the deal is no longer worthwhile. You have to be on it all the time, it's cheaper to correct building plans with a pencil and eraser than with a saw, hammer and nails...

How fucked up can you be for a person who does not understand construction to fail in construction and is surprised that he failed… ..
Indeed a collection of glitches that accumulate for a situation that is only getting more complicated.
Looking at the picture quickly (as far as can be understood) I assume that if the direction of the ascent of the stairs had been reversed so that the end part was towards the beam then an 80 inch device could have been overcome and in the process other problems would have to be solved as a result.
Really a shame and painful to read. Be careful.
What a heartache
Wow, also assumes the contractor was the cheapest, worked without a permit and regardless of the town code (if he is aware of it at all)
It is worth noting that such and such serious malfunctions are not unusual. Until you "invest" the token, you will continue to lose money. The Israeli entrepreneurs who have really been lucky enough to make money in US real estate are few.
