How To Make Dreams Come True And How To Do Something You’ve Never Done Before And Overcome The Fear Of Starting

#Post2 – The First Deal
I cried on the other end of the phone.
I was in complete panic.
My first deal had just been accepted — and after the high came the low.
I was terrified that I’d made a huge mistake and had no idea what I was doing.
Three days earlier, we’d been asked to write down our dreams — and exactly how we’d get there, step by step, with whom.
“Imagine you’ve already reached the place you dream of,” he told me on the other end of the line.
“How does it feel in your body? What will you be like tomorrow?
Julia, breathe.”
Three days earlier, I had opened my laptop and typed.
I wrote about my first deals — three flips and then a few rentals.
I wrote that a year from now, I’d be in a completely different place.
Before the birth of my first child, just before my son was born, my sister gave me a crazy idea —
she suggested I write my birth story before it happened.
She asked me to describe it in as much detail as possible:
when the first contraction starts, the time, the day, what happens next — as if I’m already there —
how it feels, how I cope, until the moment I’m holding him in my arms, crying with joy.
There’s no doubt that dreaming alone isn’t enough —
but wow, it helps.
Time after time, after writing down my wishes for the new year, my goals, my dreams —
I saw how things somehow happened.
Not always in the exact timeline I imagined, not always in the exact form I expected —
but somehow, when we dare to dream out loud, in writing, and with all our heart —
things just start to move.
One of the most famous books, “Think and Grow Rich,” offers a radical idea:
Write down what you want.
Develop a burning desire.
Feel it in your body — and it will happen.
Manifestation, vision boards, shouting your dreams out loud or whispering them to your journal —
I don’t know why it works, but it does.
Again and again.
Be brave.
Close your eyes.
See it already happening.
Write it down.
Feel that you’re already there.
But dreaming alone isn’t enough — it’s only the first step.
After that come the actions.
So how do you face the fear?
How do you do something you’ve never done before?
How do you start?
Consistency.
Keep showing up every single day, even on the days you don’t feel like it.
The cumulative effect of small, consistent actions creates real impact.
My real estate mentor once told me: “Ask yourself every day — what’s the 1% I can do today that truly moves the needle?”
Goals.
Set small, near-term goals and bigger, long-term ones —
and don’t forget to celebrate the wins along the way.
Open doors.
Ask for help.
Talk to people.
Seek advice.
Each such action opens more opportunities and doors.
Share what you want — and help others achieve what they want.
Face your fear.
We talk a lot about mindset and limiting beliefs — and it’s true.
But in the end, fear is also here to protect us.
It’s a defense mechanism.
Instead of fighting it, thank it.
Acknowledge it.
It won’t disappear, but it gets smaller when we move forward with it.
So take one small step anyway.
With every new experience, things become easier and more natural.
It’s much nicer not to do it alone.
You can’t do everything by yourself — and you shouldn’t.
Real estate is one of those fields where you depend on other people, especially when it’s overseas.
I’m filled with gratitude for everyone around me —
my amazing husband and kids, my family and friends,
my incredible partner (there aren’t enough words to describe him),
those across the ocean who make everything possible,
and the partners and investors who’ve been with us from day one and keep joining new deals.
Because in the end, every small step we take — even when fear sits in our stomach —
is proof that we’re on the right path.
It’s the choice to keep moving forward anyway.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past four years,
it’s that it’s not really about how to make dreams come true —
it’s about stopping the delay and just starting.
So write.
Imagine.
Move.
And watch how the dream slowly starts moving toward you, too.
I wish you the courage to dream big, believe deeply, and enjoy the journey no less than the destination. ❤️
May you achieve all your dreams — and far beyond them.
