Continuing economic progress for Hollywood. ?
In June of each year, the Broward County Property Appraiser announces the total property value of all Broward cities. For Hollywood, as of January 1, 2019 our city was appraised to have a $17.4 Billion estimated value, up from $16.3Billion in 2018 – a $1.1B/6.73% year-over-year improvement – solid numbers thanks to appreciation of existing residential and commercial property and $359M in new construction in 2018.

Appreciation in property value enables city governments to improve the level of city services that we provide to the public – police/fire-rescue, code enforcement, infrastructure repair, public works, parks and rec, etc.

Rising property value also means that the financial net worth of Hollywood families continues to grow as our city continues its renaissance.

Hollywood property has seen a $4.2Billion increase in value since 2016. Let’s keep it going. Our city is older than the average Broward city and driving down Federal Highway, Dixie and other commercial corridors, it is plain to see that we are only scratching the surface on the renewal that our city is poised to continue.

2019 and 2020 will also see the beginning of the $165M in bond investments that voters approved in March, and the beginning of millions of dollars in improvements to our older neighborhoods through the Interlocal Agreement we reached with Broward County.
